Okay, so I feel ignorant to ask about it, but really, how do you celebrate the "holiday season" in the summer? Are there evergreen trees in Australia or New Zealand? I know it couldn't snow there this time of year.

Would you wish for snowy Christmas's (or whatever holiday you may celebrate)?

I hate to seem so ignorant, but I really know NOTHING of the places besides the basics.

As a corollary, and just so that people are more likely to see it, feel free to post here if you have some kind of holiday tradition that you'd like to share. I just wasn't thinking broad enough at first!

Well living in Canada I could not imagine not having a white x-mas even though we have had them it is just rare to have no snow this time of the year.

But I imagine the people in the south are thinking how on earth could you enjoy christmas at -30.

But christmas is about the spirt and not the weather. And there is enough fake spuce or fir tress to still have a tree. ;)

I don't live in New Zealand, but I'm pretty sure shouting isn't going to make people eager to answer your question...

I just turned down the volume and did not hear anything. ;)

In Malaysia we just put up fake evergreens and wreaths and snow and everything...

Ya just can't beat a light snowfall on Christmas eve. There's just a certain magic to it.

..I'm taking the day off sick; I feel horrible..
