A question: I am in the Toad Village, but when I go beneath after talking to Ekbu, I can't climb any ladders to ascend to meet the shaman. Is this a bug? TIA.

Not sure. How are you trying to climb the ladders?? Look up and go forward??
Ladders in this game area a pain. They're okay going up, but forget them going down!

LOL, just walk around the ladder to the other side and try again! Wouldn't know if it hadn't happened to me as well, heh. When you directly approach them from a tunnel you're on the side where the ceiling is closed - just look for the rungs if you don't want to bend your neck, the proper side is where you can see the horizontal pieces extend over the vertical ones. =)
