In the first cinimatic it tells you that you were captured by "beings that seemd to bend reality and blend in the shadows" or something like that, basiclly Ren got someone to capture you, and you wake up and dont remember mutch form the last few days up untill you were captured.

Well... he may simply have used some simcariliums for the capture.

I agree Istaron, because at the fight with him in teh Asylum, he makes clones of you and your party. I think that the capture took place somewhere outside Baldur's Gate.
