Okay, this is simply tres cool, so I had to post.
The wife and I saw 21 Grams tonight and then settled in for a quiet evening of pizza and wine. She turned in early, 11:30 pm central time, because she's sick. Okay, come midnight, the fireworks show over Lake Michigan begins. And, I notice we can see fully 1/2 of it from our windows (We live on the 22nd floor one block away from Grant Park in Chicago -- and the eastern walls of the apartment are all window). So, I wake her up, point it out, and we lay in bed watching a 20-25 minute fireworks extravaganza (Chicago goes all-out). It was so very cool, and a nice touch on an evening where I'd considered walking down to the park to watch the fireworks. It was very nice. I don't know if we'll still be living here next New Year's, but I will remember the time we could watch the fireworks from our bed.
