Cloudy's Cafe



Come in, be welcome, be comfortable, be yourself

Welcome to Cloudy's Cafe, a place to have a cup of coffee or a good
darjeeling and the finest in conversation and camaraderie.

The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines:


this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone



* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner

* any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences)
-a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short
conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately!

* Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!)

* do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it.

Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around the world. And purple napkins, of course!

The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by.

I was thinking of suggesting that to DS actually. I figure, if she reads it and doesn't commit suicide, she can get through anything, without drugs. :)

Gangrell, DW is evil... just like MafiaWars. Do yourself a BIG favor... get as big an army (or whatever they call it... I forget) as quickly as you can. Otherwise, there's a word for you... snack. As in that's what you'll be for everyone else.

I'm depressed, not quite suicidal :P Though if his book drives me to it... Heh.

Evening all. I've decided I'll start working out again (I don't really need it, technically I'm underweight for my height, but it might help me to feel better about myself).

I've also made my choices for courses to do at uni next year. Even though the only choice was between taking a palaeobiology unit or a language unit.. And since my course is palaeobiology and I'm not doing any other languages it was hardly a choice.

Good idea on working out. I remember doing something similar in my younger years...when I got frustrated with life, people, and such, I'd grab a pair of nunchucks (my favorite were made of aircraft aluminum!) and start working them... sometimes in the dark :)

It's amazing what two pieces of wood or metal whizzing around your body, inches from causing you severe pain and anguish, can do to clear your mind and make you focus on just them. 'Cause if you don't... you soon will :ouch:

You don't get that sense of danger with working out, but perhaps that's just as well :D

I have poi, I think I'll use them instead of nunchucks. The amount of times I have hit myself around the head...

You're jealous? What about when I point out my height is about five foot tall?

..and the workout is good too. Releases endorphins!
