I'm doing a paper in political science this week, and the idea is to compare how democratic and authoritarian states hold public officials accountable for any maladministration. Now, I have plenty of information on how democracies do it, but not on how authoritarian states does it.

My question is thus: does anyone have any links to information on how these less democratic states chooses to review their public officials? Just some general info.

Thanks!

Edit: I'm interrested both in the accountability downwards to the public (if such one even exist), and upwards to the ruling elite.

Hey Stratos, any luck finding that info yet?

Yes, I've actually found some.

It's a bit of a strange source, a review article, but it'll have to make do. I just need one or to references anyway.
