<font color=lime>I'm re-starting with Baldurs Gate II: Shadows of Amn/Throne of Bhaal series ( haven't touched it since July 2003 )

Ive seen an increasing number of modifications (mods), Infinity Engine Modlist helps alot but does not state common known bugs, mishaps & errors.

My plan is to install the following modifications:

NPC Mods

- Chloe NPC

She sounds like a BOMB, a female kensai demigod .. any info about her?

- Solaufein NPC

Already played with him ( sounds really wrong I know ), it was ment to be so this will be in it anyways

- Tashia NPC

NPC sorcerer, looks good.

- Yikari NPC

Gotta love monks

Quest-Related Mods

- Ascension

This is tough right?

- Redemption

Irenicus is such a fool thinking about redemption

Rules and Tweaks

- Dungeon-Be-Gone

I'm lazy, sue me ;) !

- Revised Hell Trials

Planning on playing a neutral kensai (if possible can't remember)

- Virtue

Sounds balancing... might be irritating dunno.

Stores and Items

- Item Upgrade

well-balanced and my kensai needs that celestial 5+

- Ruad

another upgrader, any info about this guy?

- The Improved Volcano! Pack for ToB

just intressated wich items it has

- The Magnificient Magic Store

gotta love those overpowerd to expensive to get your hands on items..

Tactical Challenges

- Azengaard Tactical Encounter

Any info about this mod ... sound promising

- Tactics

Love this one .. gives SoA a little spice!

Damn got crampy fingers, can anyone state if one of the above ( or more ) have failures or BIG bugs?

Another thing I wanted to ask, I want to start with a kensai dualing it to mage at level 11/13 ( it will be a solo game ) .. what should his stats look like and whats the best level to dual? 11 or 13?

Thanks in advance guys.. its very much appreciated!

I noticed you have 4 NPC's there. Plus your main character, you've got a nearly-full party, with only one slot available for a Bioware NPC. The mod-NPC's sometimes have banters with the Bioware NPC's, which you will be missing if your whole party is mod-NPC's.

Ascension/Redemption happens at the end of the game. It will be a very long time before you get there.

Stores and Item Upgrade will please the power-gamer in you. Many of these items unbalance the game in favor of the player.

Tactics will challenge you repeatedly. It could make you frustrated. Personally I think it's great because I like the challenging battles. This will unbalance the game in favor of the enemies.

Get the Kelsey NPC mod. He's a very good choice. Oh, and if you like banter and are planning on taking a few Bioware NPCs, then the banter pack isn't half bad either.

Just going solo ... nearly taking the NPC's for another game, the first game will be solo, another game may be group don't know yet

They look nice, won't take them all at once, just adding 1 custom NPC to a party of bioware NPCs

I didn't understand your last post, because going "solo" means playing with just one character, not a party. In that case, don't install any NPC's.

i suggest dont install dungeons be gone just yet until you defeated the improved tactics version in the dungeon. so just to let you feel how the real tactics would feel like later on some parts of the game :D .

My post is also intended to ask members here if one of the following mods ( wich I summed up ) are all compatibly with each other, a year ago a few mods still had some problems with each other.

Don't read me wrong, I know what solo is ( I was to roam this forum constantly for like 7 months in a row... ;) ) but I need to know if all these mods are getting along.

And I install Dungeon-Be-Gone because Imp. Illych cramps my style, a solo kensai isn't fair against that dwarf and his goons ... if there is a good tactic or a known thread about a solo kensai beating the crap out of them, please enlighten me, I would love to try but I have done it already with a solo and it frustrated me!

Thanks for the replies guys!

Don't know how informative or useful it might be, especially since Imp Ilyich has changed alot since I wrote this, but here are the details of how I beat it.

usually, the compatability is all in the read me of each mods. if one is incompatible, then dont include it. just do the readme in each of the mods and you will be fine ;) .

Does anyone know a good order to install the Weidu mods in? A few are obvious but others aren't so obvious.
