i have fighter mage with 2 prof points in both short bow and katana, and with katana (speed 4) i have 2 attacks per round and with short bow (speed 6) i have 5/2! odd.

bows have a base attack/round of 2. everything else besides darts is 1. whatever modifiers for level and specialization take that into account.

FWIW I think thrown daggers also get 2 attacks/round.

OK, if you do the math a katana gets 1 attack per round, plus 1/2 attack per round for the weapon specialization equals 3/2 attacks per round. Bow gets 2 att./rnd., plus 1/2 att./rnd. for specialization equals 5/2 att./rnd. All other things being equal, why is he getting an extra 1/2 att./rnd. with the katana? Something is indeed strange here.

BTW, Chinese Noodle, weapon speed doesn't affect your attacks/round; it just helps determine who strikes first.
