I swear, I have the worst luck when it comes down to computers sometimes. Me and my dad were hooking up a new cable router to my computer, bought and paid for, but it doesn't want to work, so he tries it out on his to work out the bugs. I get on my computer, things I deleted way back when pop up and crash, Internet Explorer crashes, so does BgII, and now I'm thinking "Oh crap, what did that router do?" I run everything but Norton's can't find anything, then my dad looks into it. It so happens a virus got past my firewall (still trying to figure out how) and really screwed up my computer. So I threw as much as I could onto my extra hard-drive and reformated the whole thing. At least I still have most of this backed up, though it'll be a pain to get everything installed again.

I've been really bored without a Pc that really runs, I wonder how much I missed in the forums

A firewall can't prevent a virus from infecting your machine. Firewalls are used to prevent hacking into your machine, whereas viruses (or is that viri?) piggy back on files that you download yourself.

Only you can prevent viruses.
