Ah okay, I suppose that must be it - there are some advertisements in that talkshow, then. Guess I was mostly confused because it started off with a few minutes worth of ads when I started to listen to it 5 minutes ago.

It will be pretty jerky when it has to buffer, but you may be ok if you don't run much else. I have listened on dial up before though, and it isn't that pleasant.

What was the web address from that talk show?
the one with the details about the ahem... "ghost detector" thing?

Do you mean 128?
If yes then you should be fine, buffering times wont be long.
