Here's a VERY belated follow-up to the problem I talked about. Tried all of the stuff mentioned and nothing worked. Saved the Saved Files then deleted the game and reinstalled and.... same problem. I gave up. Shortly after that had to replace the entire computer. Sorry about that. Reinstalled on the new computer (Win7) and game seems to run fine but some places in town won't open, including the "back" gate to the graveyard.
But that's another post. Thanks to all for advice and help.

Can't enter some buildings in town, that is a problem with Avi files, easy to fix with VirtualDub:
Go to "Tech Tips (game not working? Read this!)", it is a Sticky topic.
On the first page, look for "6.1) Can´t enter buildings in town or exit through the gates", this should be the solution you need.

Glad you knew that, Shadow, I wouldn't have remembered at this point!

It's been so long since I've played this game (or had time to)! :)

Thanks for the follow up, Uncle Joe, and congrats (I guess) on the new computer!! I'm about to get a computer upgrade myself and I'm a little nervous about the transition from one machine to another.

Problem comes from Windows 2000/XP, it was not a problem in earlier versions of Windows.

New version of Windows means a learning curve...

Thanks to Reset Adventures I can take a high level party through Collasium.
Also thanks to John Hubbard's Wizardry & Wizards and Warriors Site, it has a high level save game that I could download and Reset.

hi mate, i had the same problem, my fix was,... open a characters inventory, while facing the door, equip and unequip an item and you should be able to watch the door turn in the viewer top right corner, just keep equiping untill it is open, if its slow on one character try another.
