Bioware has Patched NWN1 to 1.69! --Update: Now uploaded most of Waterdeep Docks page

It's been a long time in the coming: http://nwn.bioware.com/players/169/
This is not a patch by me, it's an official Patch by Bioware. You need it!

You can upgrade inside your NWN client under 'Update', or go here:
http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patch.html

If you get a corrupt upgrade, go to the Bioware site, and download the NWN:HotU English Critical Rebuild.

EFU is officially using the 1.69 Patch! Update your clients now!!
New Prestige class was added! As well as TONS of other things. (Rideable Horses!!!!)

Let me know if you see anything odd or broken in EFU because of the patch.

I have been working on my own 1.69 hakpak patch, which will also add new stuff--models of weapons, creatures etc, but it will also fix any game code related stuff.
Post here with where it happened, and decribe what is happening.

Thanks!!

YEA! I'm updating it now! Can't wait to see the new class.
I'm a little sad though because it means an end of an era *sigh*

Yeah, kinda, but you never know.. Dragon Age may be the next REAL NWN. (They ARE making it very mod friendly) So I expect good things from DA.

But don't worry, I plan to release my own hakpak patches well into the future! :)
BTW, I don't recall ANY non MMOG gaming company supporting a game for 6 years with patches.. That is a testament to NWN longevity!

Just logged in ( Choc assisted I think with a hair ball of doom) and it worked fine except for the beholder quest. When I left the area after getting the eye it stuck me in a wall next to the barrels. I was able to save and then log back in to complete the quest.

Well it looks like I am going to have to install my brand new NWN Diamond Throne Edition that my sister-in-law bought me for my birthday. I just hope I don't have install/game issues with the "protection" provided.

Does anyone know how this patch will affect, if at all, Community Mods that predate this patch?

Holy Meow! I missed this until today! I am downloading now. I can't believe everything I miss these days! I cannot even understand why they are upgrading NWN1! I thought 2 was the only one that they cared about these days.

Bioware had nothing to do with the second Neverwinter Nights. It shows :) NWN1 still kicks ass! :)

Damn, damn and damn again. Went to log in then read this thread! Am now downloading miscellaneous OS patch to go with my hacked build. Will see how it goes; if good you'll know cause you'll see me in there. If not you'll know cause you'll see me in there somehow :D

23 minutes still to go on download, what kind of broadband is this :cryingeyesout:

So when did you last play in EFU? It's changed immensely just in the 3 or 4 years I've been playing in it so there may be a little culture shock due.
