Just wanted to say that if you've got a thief (high leveled), USE THE BACKSTAB ABILITY! My thief once gave 88 damage...

Buying BG1 has finally allowed me to understand how backstabbing is done..

There are WAY better backstabs out there.

Yep. At 4* backstab, I've got 130 damage, plus 20 damage for lightning strike (with celestial fury). I also had a poisoned weapon, but the creature didn't survive so it didn't matter http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

At 7* backstab I'm hoping for 200+ hp, at least.

Katana is a good choice for a thief as a proficiency
you can backstab

At 7x bs you'll be doing about 120 damage regularly, more when you're lucky. *cackle*

Heh BG I backstabs before patch was insane. Thieves could walk around in the desert without a shadow in sight totaly hidden in shadows. My fighter thief dished out some big time damage like that (well in BG I terms http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif not as effective in BG II since you can dish out great damage so many ways but still great damage http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif
