Many of you are aware that you cannot sell key game items to vendors, or quest specific items. I've found this Fire Opal gem somewhere in chapter two, and I can't sell it. I thought it was for a henchman item quest but its not. And now that I am in chapter three, it hasn't gone away. The other weird thing is, from the normal Fire Opals that you can sell for lots of money, this one has a shortened description.

Am I missing something?

I've been wondering that as well. Is used for some quest sometime?

I recently played through the OC again and I found several of those unsellable Fire Opals as well. I checked over at the Bioware forums and apparently in previous versions of the game the "special" Fire Opals could cast Fireball. I guess the developers thought those gems were a bit too powerful so now they do nothing. Go figure.

Aww... they could have at least made it so you could sell them. :(
