I HAVE posted the idea on the Bar thread several times, so I assumed that he would have responded if he cared whether or not it got moved.

OK, but that's still no reason to go ahead and ask it. He *is* the proprietor, so if you wanted it moved, you should have emailed him. He might have been offline for a few days and unable to check this thread.
