In the actual game, my pc choices to date have been bards (skald kit) (and fighter/cleric combo earlier in bg1 and my first run at bg2 which I dumped and re-started as bard)- In Icewind Dale, I used Paladin, Ranger, fighter/cleric,Bard, Thief and Mage.

I think BK made my lovely little Sword of Purple Roses useable only by Bard/Mage multiclass (I can't check just now, but that sounds right) I don't think BG2 would actually let me multiclass that bard kit...but...we aren't playing in there! http://www.tgeweb.com/images/forum/icons/viking.gif
