I am in the Stout Mines and the Trolley will not carry my party. IT keeps leaving without me, and no matter how I position myself, it ltakes off down the tracks without me in it. It has me unable to continue with the game.

Are you sure your party is boarded ?? Once your standing on the trolly, look down and single click the trolly. If boarded properly, you will hear sort of an "all aboard train sound" and click away on the lever and enjoy the ride. =)
