I have cleaned the southern caverns, killed the master brain and saved a group of slaves. But I don’t think the daughter was one of them. And there doesn’t seem another enterance from here. I have also checked the southern cavern but coulnd’t find her there either. Solaufein, still waiting at the enterance, doesn’t speak with me. I went to the Temple of Lolth to see if Matron Mother was there but she wasn’t. So, where’s this damn daughter?

you need to go back to soulafien, when you talk to him, he should blab something about having to concentrate on the spell, that's why he won't talk to you. Be patient and wait with him. This is your chance to cast any spells to prepare for a fight. soon, the beholders and phaere (daughter)are pulled out of where ever they are and the fight ensues.

Solaufein should be willing to speak with you as soon as you find him outside the mind flayer prison. Did you try to talk to him before cleaning out the prison? Maybe the time limit expired while you were killing the master brain and freeing the slaves. Head back to the city. If your cover is blown, it's probably a matter of the time limit. Beyond that possibility, it's sounds pretty goofy to me.
