Gidday, yes you may think I am crazy, but my assassin is now level11 and I am thinking if class changing to a Samurai so I can train up the double weapon skill (which I only just got due to this character starting of as a rogue and taking a while to advance in the warriors guild).
It would be nice to keep the assassin, but I already have the special traits of the assassin and would keep them when class changing??
What do you think??
cheers

Change away! YouŽll keep all traits so thatŽs no worry. Changing class is the natural step in evolution, ehh classolution? ;) YouŽll also get sun magic.

Is this a solo game, or a party game?

In a solo game, there's no question. Change away, whenever you're ready. you probably won't finish the game as an assassin anyway, so why wait?

If it's a party game, I'd probably hold off a little. You only get three special class characters, so you've already used one. Besides, once you get to around level 15 or 17, the experience required for each succeeding level is the same, and you'll pick up lots of new levels.

The sun magic thing is a good reason to switch, so, in a rambling close, let me offer my suggestion of when the time will be right to switch: when you have the seventh level magic spells in moon and fiend (that's what assassin gets, right?). Once you've got those, move on (that's what she told me).

It depends on your strategy and wishigs. IMO,

do NOT change class of the Assassin! :D

Why? The assassin is the best fighter in the game - even a better one than a zenmaster - because the assassin can use Assassin's Dagger. Moreover, the assassin is a rogue, therefore, his lockpicking ability is fortified by the game. Also, the assassin can learn Moon Magic and become your teleportation guy. In the other words, Assassin belongs to the "final roles", i.e., to the roles which we take after collecting skills and traits by means of role changing. At any rate, you will LOSE when you change the assassin to the samurai.
As far as the Doublestrike trait and the 2nd Weapon skill are considered, both are guild level 4 (or level 5?) Warriors Guild skills available to everybody, including the assassin.

Before I would even consider changing I would make sure you are level 7 in all the guilds & have all the level 7 magics & level 12 in Assassin skills. I think they specialize in deathstrike. My level 23 solo has all magics & is level 12 in everything, he makes a very formidable warrior.

I'll agree on the level 7 spells, but I'll disagree on the level 12 assassin skills. You can still train in them afterwards, so that's not enough reason in my book.

Of course, if there are any skills you learn at specific levels, there's a reason to stick around. Kind of like the zenmaster's enlightenment at level 18...

Gidday, thanks for the recommendations, I agree with WillowIX and Bungleau and decided to make the change. I have all the skills of the assassin and spells - I felt like my character was getting a little stagnant and made the change. Maybe a little early?? - thats role playing

cheers
