For those of you who remember the 60's anime series Speed Racer (am I showing my age?) there is a live action movie coming out.

Yea, its due out in May of this year. I don't really remember much of the cartoon, but it must have been fairly popular to make a movie out of it. From what I've seen in the trailer, it looks pretty silly, especially with Christina Ricci's hair hahaha. But who knows, maybe I'll be surprised like I was with the Transformers movie.

Oh, on a side note, Transformers 2 is scheduled to be released sometime next year.

My wife is a huge Speed race fan and has all of them on DVD. She is on the fence about seeing the movie though and I kind of agree it looks really Chaotic and to much in your face ( granted I still want the car :)).
