I must have the world's most lazy paperboy.

His parents drive his route (it's somewhat rural) for him, house to house. All he has to do is put the paper in the mailbox. Not real hard.

So why everytime when I come home, is my paper lying in the middle of the driveway soaking wet? It's not as if I'm asking him to perform brain surgery, I just want a dry newspaper!

Have you every tried to read a newspaper that you have to wring out first? My clothes come out of the washer with less water in them! I've lost track of the amount of times I've talked to him about, and the newspaper has no one else to deliver it because it's so rural.

I can't believe the paperboy has me by the short and curlies.

Okay, I'm feeling better now.

The answer's quite simple. The next time he comes around, take a water hose to him and spray him down and shout "How do you like it wet!" Or maybe that only works for me :D

I had almost the same problem with my paperboy except he would through it up on my roof or leave it in the only puddle in the driveway or not deliver it at all.
so I called the news paper and told them my problem and that I wanted my money back for every issue that was runed and if the problem didn't stop I would cancel the paper.
I worked for a newspaper a few years back and the one thing they don't want is to loose even one customer. So call them every day that you have the problem and tell them to credit that day and find out how much a single paper cost in town and tell them that you have to buy replacement papers and you need to be re-paid for the expence, the problem will end very fast and you may end up with a new paper boy and find your news paper sitting on your front porch each day.

Just out of curiosity... Is it typically American and Canadian to just *throw* newspapers on the drive-way? Because in the Netherlands, it's common decency to just place them in the mailbox.

call the newspaper or the boy boss and complain to them. it always work wonders.

shoot out the tyres on his car. he'll either be too scared to do the paper root again, therefore getting a new paper boy or he'll realize your insane and not want to mess you around. i'm pretty sure it'll work :D

That's the procedure up here as well. I have never had a newspaper lying on my driveway. Yet I probably should add. ;)

We will soon have to start to call you Grouchy uncy Animal. Vaskez seems to have lost his touch. Seriously though, complain. Call your news paper and tell them this is not acceptable. After all they are the ones to loose out and I'm sure they do not like to have unhappy customers.

Definitely call the newspaper's office and complain...they do care about not losing customers.

Our paperboy (driven through his route by a parent as well) aims at a cat if one happens to be outside at 3:30 a.m.

With 12 potential targets (and knowing some of our cats deserve a good scare ha ha) I don't blame him for having fun with his job but they all learned quiclky not to be outside when he delivers (or at least not be in sight) and now the paper lands on the porch...he did try to throw it through the cat door in our screen door a couple of weeks ago but the noise it made when it hit the metal not only gave us a scare but got a few neighbors out of bed too and he hasn't tried that one since.
