Well, I have myself Keldorn's nice Hallowed Redeemer sword. How I got to use it, I have no idea, I took it from Keldorn, it says only Keldorn can use it, but Actually I can.

2 handed sword, does 5 magic damage to anyone attacking my warrior. Great for melee combat, you actually hurt the enemy by them attacking you. I can't wear his armor though.

Actually if you're a monk with the right stats you can wear Keldorn's armor http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
The guy is just so Use-able.

Why?

Could it be a bug?

sunder 06-11-2001 02:56 PM

Not really, It does say in certain NPC weapons and armor, that VERY FEW PEOPLE OTHER THAN SO AND SO CAN USE THIS WEAPON/WEAR THIS ARMOR.
There are some NPC items that no one but them can use, and there are some items that if you are lucky enough to have a player character similiar to them, they can use or wear it.
The armor in my first game my monk could wear it, while the armor in the 2nd game i played only my barbarian can wear it. Probably you have to have stats similiar to the NPC in certain areas, etc.

this applies to any item in the game:

there are only so many criteria that can be assigned limits. the major three are stats(SDCIWC), alignment, and class, so if you are a stalker with stats at least as good as valygar's you can probably wear his armor. items can't be restricted to specific creatures beyond their stat/class requirements (which is why drizzt's items are scripted to be taken from you rather than simply being unusable by non-drizzts).

The only exception is the Jansen stuff. I mean, its HiS stuff, unlike the other stuff, the jansen stuff is built for jan jansen only.
