Ziroc have you any thoughts about making personalised names for say people who have been here awhile and have many posts? not me of course but I thought it would make some people more recognisiable to newer memebers and make them feel closer to the board just a thought

Aarggh. Not custom titles. Has anyone seen what this can do to a board? Imagine the whining that might take place if we adopted a policy like this (no offense Azure).

I think most tend to put those sorts of titles in their signature lines (i.e. Cloudbringe -- Offical Welcome Wagon of the Ironworks Forum). Yes, Ziroc could change her rank to "welcome wagon" but I don't see what is gained by this.

well i would say the vets
not just ppl who have gotten a lot of posts fast but people who have become well known on the board by everyone. just thought it might be a little bonus for them.

And how do we determine this? Is # of posts indicative of popularity? Do we give a custom title to someone that has been on the Ironworks site (old and new) for a long time (i.e. since last November) but only has a couple hundred posts? No! This is a horrible idea and should not be considered. It will cause strife among the members!
