How do I get in!? Why can't I ever get that door unlocked, no matter what I do? Please help.....

You pick up the key in the Windspear hills quest, its called the sewer key and I think will be in the room with Tazok and chief whatever.

Is it that secret door nearby to the other secret door used in the Haer'Dalis quest? Since I don't have a game going that's in a position to explore that area, what's inside? Just a fight?

Yep, it is that door and yep just some fighting (and some usefull weapons to, uhm, well, uhm, you know, advance).
