Cloudy - I am so glad you are safe, as I mentioned in another thread, the first three people I thought of when all this happened was you, Yorick and Conan. I have seen all the footage in NY in hideous detail: The second plane hitting Tower II, going all the way through as well, the explosion and falling debris, and then the tragic collapse of both buildings, with people in the streets running for their lives. It was truly a horrible thing to behold.

In D.C., I saw the plane go by at a very low altitude that hit the Pentagon. Then the sirens started, and the news reports started, and we all got out of dodge in chaos. Took me 3 1/2 hours to get home. Some people in traffic were hearing news on the radio (as I was) of an unidentified plane flying over the area, and they actually got out of their cars and crouched beside them, searching the skies, freaked me out. I was searching the skies too, but didn't see much use in leaving my car, as if a plane is crashing down on us, crouching is not much of a defense, and even running would probably fall short. Yes Magik, and actually there is one other IW member who also lives in Alexandria, as I, but he hasn't posted in quite some time, Asphyxiate. I hope that he is OK too. I still am in total shock at it all. I mean, we hear of terrorist acts from the past, but usually it is one plane, or one building... This was totally surprising as it was one attack after another after another!
