Guantlets of Crushing
Staff of the Magi

OK *SPOILERS*

Gauntlets of crushing:
sahuagin city: gotten to by dealing with Saemon at completion of escape from Spellhold.
You must choose path of siding with Mad King for him to give you gauntlets. He will
give them to you when you finish his quest.

Staff of Magi:
You need a rogue stone; enter the locked/trapped door in Bridge District (next to
guy in Red who was abducting people and burying them alive). The rogue stone is needed
to get past the door. I found over 15 Rogue Stones in the course of the game; usually
after completing various quests. Once you get in you'll encounter one of the hardest
fights of the game and if you survive you get the staff.

Wasn't that the Demi-lich??? All I got from him was the ring of gaax... I didn't see a door I needed a rogue stone for.

yer, are you talking about the door that you look into and is all black, or are you talking bout the door where the captive girl is held???

How in the world did you ever figure that out?
