My six-foot solo character can't get through the final tunnel to Cet.
Happened several times elsewhere but I was able to run through; now
I see a ledge in the ceiling, am stuck. Any suggestions? Shrinking potions?
Paladin, limited magic. Want to end the game!

P. S. Map shows a passage from Lost Sea to Enshanted sea, but none shows up.
No way back except teleport or back through the dungeons?

Hmmm... I haven't been stuck there before, so I'm not sure what advice to give. Are you stuck in the entranceway, or at Cet's actual door?

A couple of options...

... if you have moon magic, try to cast create portal on someone else (a roach, a rat, Cet himself...) and then teleport to them. You said you have limited magic, though, so that may not be an option.

... Try going down backwards. Sometimes that helps. Try the side-to-side shuffle as well -- that can get you past sticky points.

... Head back to the inn to pick up another character who is smaller, and let them lead the way. Only drawback is you're heading back to Valeia, most likely... :( Only guarantee is that this will work... unless you're now locked in with Cet, which as I recall, you may be... in which case that last guarantee isn't worth anything :( :(

First of all: Welcome to the board, camomile13.

The doorway leading into Cet's chamber should not be too tight for you. There are two tunnels leading a short way in each direction from the entrance to Cet's chamber. In those tunnels it is possible to get stuck. But you do not have to go there. A ward of fire necklace is the only thing of interest there.

If you are stuck in either of the two stairways leading down to the lava there is no other way for you than to try and wriggle your way through.

If you are stuck in the doorway itself it is most likely because you have not unlocked both locks yet.

As to the passage connecting the two seas, there is none. You will either have to go through Anephas's temple again or teleport. You should make yourself a portal in the lost sea area since you can always go the enchanted sea area using the call of home spell.

If you are in the enchanted sea area you can also tree surf to the other area but not vice versa.

Sheesh! Did I miss a chance to welcome a newcomer?

*shakes head* Must have too much other stuff on my mind.

Welcome to the boards, camomile13. May you find the end of your adventures in the Gael Serran to be but a bright beginning.

Thanks for the welcome and replies!
I'm in the short tunnel leading down from the small lava lake, after using the two keys. I'm on the last stair down, there's a ledge in the ceiling I bump against. Tried backwards, wiggling sidewards, no go. Have no useful magic or potions.
??? Another entrance?
What's tree surfing?
Thanks!

It's a bit risky here, but try using Vanish. Tree surfing is when you jump on top of a tree and run around the tops of the trees.

Vanish is a good way out, again if you've got moon magic. Failing that, you might be toast...

Your options are going to be keep trying until you get lucky, to restore a recent save game (perhaps old enough that you can head back for a pixie escort) or to revert the game. That is different from resetting the adventure -- resetting starts you over from the beginning, while reverting the game puts you as you were when you left your last town (Brimloch Roon, in this case). That way you only have to replay that last portion of the game.

You might try moving to a different area, saving, and reloading. Sometimes, pixels can shift for the strangest of reasons...

... such as going into software mode or hardware mode (whichever you're not). Hey, it's worth a shot...

Good luck.

If you don't have it, just give a character 7 skill points in Moon Magic, give them some XP (enough for a level up), level up, and get the Vanish Spell. Of course, you have to use the roster editor to do all this. Then, if you're an honest person, you should set the stats back to normal ;) .

But IIRC, Vanish no longer works after you leave the Dragon Spire. Whenever I cast a vanish spell now (and I'm in Brimloch Roon), the spell fails. So that actually may not be an option.

For more information on how to tree surf check here.

As to the place where you are stuck... Can you see Cet from there? If you can there is a long and tedious process which you can use to slay him... The Mavin sword and the Staff of Death are both equipped with long range spells. You can "use" the weapons by selecting them in the the "use" menu and clicking on Cet. The weapons will then discharge a spell against him. You will have to repeat this process a lot of times, and the weapons will run out of spells. Do not worry, though. They can be recharged in the black fire any time.

Two thoughts...

Could you throw a weapon or something down the stairs, create portal on it, and then teleport to it? That might give you a way past the ledge.

Also, the vanish spell does work after Dragonspire. Its performance is not perfect (at least for me), but the leprechaun uses it all the time, and there's one spot near the Shrine of Anephas where you can vanish through to the Lost Sea. Radek or Detah was testing that a while back, and I know that I confirmed it worked for me.
