Bioshock!

Oh yes, it is finally out for us to enjoy! Well, technically it was out yesterday, but why split hairs?

The game is great, from the little I've played. (Had to work a double shift today. Argh!) Quite frankly, I can't even find words to describe the feeling of trying to roleplay this game. It's just... ah, find out for yourself! :D

I got it last night and played for about an hour and a half - reminds me a LOT of system shock 2, except for the lack of char generation or development. So far I give it a 3 out of 5, for cool atmosphere/sounds but generic bad guys and gameplay. I feel it will get better as I play, however, as I'm still being introduced to gameplay elements (feels a little like a tutorial). I loved Sys Shock 2 from the first moment, so maybe I'm just making comparisons where I shouldn't.

Finally got the demo working after a few sound problems (ie. lack of), and it's fantastic! Amazing graphics and atmosphere - it really lives up to the hype, from what little I've seen.

The game doesn't come out in Europe until friday, so I'll wait until then to buy the full version from Steam. Can't wait to take on a Big Daddy :D, though I haven't decided whether to mostly harvest or free the Little Sisters.

No anti-aliasing, though? :(

I've been waiting for this game to come out for 2 years! And NOW I have it.... Oh man. SO cool.
The only down side is, yeah, no stats like System Shock 2. :( But I can deal with that I guess :)

I am so sick of 'shooters'. I can't believe people still buy them. This doesn't feel like a shooter though, which is good, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it.

Most shooters are "kill everything that moves", and just gets old.

From what I've heard, this game gets the same after a while. Also, I experienced a lot of very sluggish movement (in the demo) and heard a lot of reports about this, anyone confirm? (only PC users apply)

Quite personally, the game's running as smooth as can be. I haven't really had any trouble at all wit hthe game. Well, except trying to take on the first Big Daddy (That I didn't stand a chance in hell of killing) that I saw. :D

I haven't bought a new game for too long now. Apparently i've also been living under a rock. Bioshock sounds like just the ticket. Does it borrow from the original (1996) at all?

Re: Bioshock!

Like some other people said, it doesn't have as much developement as it's predecessors, but the atmosmphere is just amazing either way!

ack! i just found out you can only install the game twice, and it's bound to your hardware. so, if you upgrade anything, you're in trouble. :(

don't sweat it... there'll be a crack out soon if it's not out already.

I've got it downloading from steam right now ... 80%. The game is getting very positive reviews.
