Hi everybody. I just got married, and wifey refuses to give up AOL. So I decided to save some cash (we're both strapped right now) and use her AOL. We still live apart during the week, and there is a problem if we both need to get online at the same time (the same screen name can not be online in different locations at the same time).

How can I add another screename to the account? It's my understanding that AOL allows something like 8 screen names, and we might both be able to access the internet if we're signing on seperately.

TIA

Are you on dial up?

Don't you need to dial from the same number to get under the same account and therefore only use 1 account between 2 houses?

Or are you on broadband?

I'm on dial up, but when we both signed on under the same name, there were problems.

I want to know how to add a name onto an existing account.

When you sign on under one name that someone else is already using, it kicks the other person off-

However, you cannot have two screen names from the same account on at the same time either, so it won't help you much.

But to tell you how to make a new one anyway, type in the words 'screen names' in the keyword box at the top (or depending on what version you have it's also the search box). It should automatically bring up the screen name options (create new name, change password, ect). I just tested it and it worked for me.

I've used AOL since it came out and despite what others say, it's dependable. Except for letting people on one account be on at the same time

2 people online from the same account is stealing, according to AOL. It's also (kinda) what you're trying to do, so you're just going to have to work it out with the lady on what to do.
