Am I cursed, or does this sadistic game think that one hitpoint is a perfectly fine reward for a newly leveled barbarian with an 18 Fortitude? The only selling point for the barbarian class, besides thief skills, is the massive shload of hit points... which are lacking nearly every levelup.

I believe it says somewhere in the manual that when you have changed character class your character is only going to get low increases until the reach the level of their previous character class. Once you pass that you'll find that increases are back up to reasonable levels.

I'm well past my original levels and I am still get 1 point each and every time any of my characters advances.
