Ok, it's not a major issue. In fact, it's not really an issue at all, but...in Windows (98) I have maybe half a dozen desktop shortcuts. For some reason, the labels/names/titles on the shortcuts, all have a background color of that rather unattractive windows standard aquamarine color, instead of being transparent like they used to be (or at least, how I thought they used to be). So, Does anybody know if you can change that?

I tried doing that, changing it to suit my wallpaper. but alas win98 doesn't seem to have this function. Only winXP I see.

I don't even know why it bothers me so much. It's just the big chunky aquamarine blocks all over my screen. I think Mr. Gates owes me an apology, for the wanton and malicious defacing of my monitor. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Sounds like your theme got messed up real bad. You might want to re-apply back some older themes or customized the colors by Selecting the "Appearance Tab" in the "display properties".
