399 years ago there was a Catholic terrorist plot to blow up the English parliment. It was only foiled at the last moment, the main terrorist was caught with the fuses in his hand with the gunpowder already in place! Untill 1959 it was illegal not to celabrate the capture of Guy fawkes. 1n 1998 they finnaly stopped the offence (treason in peacetime) being punishable by death. And now millions of people will celabrate Guy Fawkes night without realising that the current 'war on terror' has actually been going on for so long.
