Hey I just got to the Toad Village (finally!) and Ekbu starts attacking me. I say Ukabu to him like 50 times and he still just attacks me. Help!

Are you sure you are talking to the right guy -
in a hut and not a toad warrior outside? As I recall you swim out and climb a ladder then go along a dock to the hut (first to the south?). Otherwise, did you get the "quest" from a toad down by Nymph Lake? If not, and you are just using the word picked up someplace else, maybe it won't work. |
When you ascend the ladder to Shiwiki's hut, do not approach the warrior toadman. FROM AFAR, talk to him and say "ukabu". Only after he acknowledges that you are ukabu is it safe to approach them. If you approach them too early, you get attacked. ... as far as I know.

Also Ekbu suffers from short-term memory loss. If you interupt him he's likely to forget just how Ubaku you are and start threatening you again. If so just repeat "Ubaku" once - don't keep clicking it or he will get upset as he hates being reminded how forgetful he really is.
PS Personally the whole tribe get on my wick but bear with them, you need the experience. |
I never did encounter that Frogman on the road that everyone alludes to, the one that you learn "Ukabu" from. The first time I played it I just fought my way through the village and killed Shimwicki. The second time, after having learned of this word on this forum, I used it and did the whole quest thing, though I *still* never met the Frogman that tells me the word...
