Question: Do the sum of the needed components to forge the Crom Super Hammer(girdle of frost giant strength, etc) exceed the worth of the hammer itself? To forge or not to forge... that is the question

Considering Crom Faeyr is the best weapon in the game, a simple yes will do. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

It's not worth it. I've played a few times and never bothered building it yet. Better to let your fighter wear the belt and assign proficiencies to a decent weapon that will be used throughout the game. ie who uses hammers for the whole game? Just my opinion http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Totally agree, I have never used it in any of my games (only built it once to see what it looked like). It gives one party member enourmous strength, and that's about it. The components of the hammer work better when distributed among more than one party member - makes two or three people more useful.

Depends if you have anyone good with warhammers.

If your main character is a cleric, then I would give them a slot in warhammer and the mace. In the end, you have a powerhouse of cleric..

That girdle is priceless for your weak-strength characters, I'd suggest keeping it since it would not be needed anyway. Unless you specialise in war hammers.

Cheating in Crom Faeyr was my resolution.http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
