I heard on the radio around 6PM GMT that the 1st case of SARS has been confirmed in the UK.

Hmm ... on Ceefax a week ago, i saw that they had reduced the number of confirmed SARS cases in Britain from 6 to 4. Either I read wrong (probable), or different stations are reporting different facts :S

Hmm, that says 18th March. Maybe they just confirmed it was SARS today then...dunno.
I heard it on LBC I think. I just heard the words that the first SARS case in the UK was confirmed today. Maybe I've made the cock up, wouldn't be the first time. [ 05-15-2003, 01:59 PM: Message edited by: Charlie ] |
I don't guess it really matters - what matters is that it's here, and we'll have to quarantine the people who've got it :(
Ah well, I've heard many people saying nobody will escape SARS - that like the infamous influenza pandemic of so many decades ago, it's only a matter of time until SARS becomes a true international epidemic. A gloomy outlook :( |
*covers ears*...no dont say that...I am paronoid enough abot this as it is, my mother keeps telling me I will probably get it :( because I have no immune system to speak of...some mother huh?
