About this character backup program "GMbackup"...

I have come to the conclusion that GMbackup is nothing more than DSbackup registered. However, the person who made this handy little utility is named Peter Raaphorst and the link included in the unregistered version of DSbackup does not work anymore! So I wonder if there is anyone out there that has the registered version of DSbackup available or a link to where I can register it that works. My wife is about to get a computer of her own and we need to transfer her characters to that machine to play multiplayer games. That does of course require us to have different names on our machines or else the network will not work. So please help us. We really do want to play together... I don't have a hexeditor, so I can't try that sollution either. We will be using European version 1.05b of Darkstone... If anyone know of another sollution for this, tell me about it for I have searched like a madman for GMbackup but all the web can come up with is DSbackup and that does not support new owner name change in the character.lpl file unregistered...
