The screen level below 800x600 is 600x480... perhaps that was the level. In any case, that was common back in the days of VGA and 13 inch monitors... ancient times [img]smile.gif[/img]

Guys, believe it or not,I wrote it down and tripled checked it when I did, but it did say 800x480. This was before I tried the higher resolution. I went back and checked my notes. Maybe Windows '98SE was really messed up. I do know the harddrive was corrupted due to a backdoor loader that the technician I mentioned discovered. Even after a hard reformat there were still issues. Thus, a new 80 gig harddrive was bought. But like I said, now it doesn't give me issues (though I haven't played any games yet). By the way Animal, your reply helped a great deal because I thought I was going nuts with the 800x480 nonstandard resolution. It seems that it *is* possible in some twisted sort of way. :D And B, do any trout fishing in the wilds of Western Michigan?
