Well, I finally defeated Irenicus/Slayer and his demons to end the game. However, I thought that you could go on back to finish side quests and explore. However, after the speech by the elf queen, it kicks me back to the start-up screen, and my last saved game is right BEFORE the Irenicus/Slayer fight.

Help please!!

What do I do now? Thanks.

You should have finished everything before facing Jon for the last time. Sorry dude, there's nothing you can do unless you wanna reload that last game you have.

There's nothing else to do, believe me. What Queen Ellessime says in the finale,however,makes you wonder you can continue traveling indeed.

That's it - once the final fight is over, the game ends. You can only start a new game. You could also get ToB and either replay the final battle or import your party from your last save, and carry on from there.
Note however that you can't return to Amn to finish your outstanding quests. To do that you'll have to load an earlier save (before fighting Irenicus in the Elven city).

Raise right hand and reach behind back. Lower arm palm first to make contact with back. Raise slighlty and lower once again, till contact is made. Repeat till feeling of well-being is attained....
