What if someone would re-build the game, with let's say new engine (HL2 or Doom 3). That would be violent. |

I dunno, MK or Half Life 2.
But, GTA is the most copyable kind of violence. All class games, got em all! |
Most games are violent really though arent they? I mean, most RPGs have violence in, all FPS and Beat-em ups.
I dont see how playing a violent game can make a person more violent. People dont want to ban violent films do they? Or say that violent films make people more violent! If the government want to ban violent, drug and sex-filled things, are they going to ban the news!? Sorry but this is one thing that really ticks me off and I dont see why games should suffer because of human nature. --Kestrel-- |
Anyone play Thrill Kill? Ya know, Belladonna, Trnmentor, Dr Faustus... By far the most brutal game ever. Infact, it was so brutal that it was never shipped at all, the whole thing was scrapped when the creators realised what they gave birth to. Fortunatelly for me, it is available on the black market, Great game, brutal violent and very entertaining!

My personal list:
Plausability: GTA Outlandishness/Gore: Mortal Kombat # of Killed (Non personal): Most strategy games. # of Killed (Up close): Shooters and Dynasty warriors. |
Mortal Kombat. The game will say " Finish Him! " and you kick the opponent and he drop down way below and blood all over. gruesome..
There was another Mortal Kombat game ( I forgot which version ), The game will " finish him! " you character will turn into a dragon and bite off half of the opponent body with all those blood dripping. uhh... |
There is no competition.
Postal 2 is THE most violant game ever. In no other game can you stick a shotgun up a (Dont read choc ) cats A** and use it as a silencer, urinate on kamakazi arabs, beat up Gary coleman with a shovel... Ill leave it at that |
Since when has violence in video games been measurable? Pffft.
If I were to cold bloodedly shoot 100 people in a FPS with one shot but then hack up 10-20 goblins with a dirty great axe in a PnP RPG so that no limb remained in tact - which act would you say is more violent? Whilst logically one might claim that due to the higher mechanical nature of the body count, the FPS deaths were more violent. Another might counter that because of the meticulous manner of psychotic dismemberment on the part of the goblins, the PnP act is the more violent. Both are conceivably true depending on your point of view. I don't think these kinds of questions have an absolute answer which just gives me the desire to play Carmegeddon with the kind of mentality which thinks that there is. |
