I have just started Chapter 4 and so far have been storing extra inventory in the de'Arnise Keep. Specifically, I have been storing items in the lion statue which is in the secret room next to the forge (main floor). Should I expect problems with losing inventory? I ask this because I have heard that storing items in the keep may pose problems (i.e. coming back at a later point in the game to find items missing).

Try storing it in the same place your assistant puts the tax gold since that never dissappears.
