Come in, be welcome, be comfortable, be yourself

Welcome to Cloudy's Cafe, a place to have a cup of coffee or a good
darjeeling and the finest in conversation and camaraderie.

The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines:

this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone

* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner

* any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences)
-a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short
conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately!

* Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!)

* do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it.

Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around the world. And purple napkins, of course!

The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by.

Greetings all! And Happy Valentine's Day!!
Things have been going great here in SoCal. Got some rain mixed with 60 degree weather(oh so nice), got a nice box of truffles from my best friend...ah, going out to test drive some cars with my mom...and no i still don't have my license . Going to Chiles for lunch/dinner before it gets too crowded as well. Hope you all are having a wonderful V-day, and if youre not, I still love you :D

Attalus 02-14-2003 05:49 PM

Good evening, Jen. Nice place you have got, here. Yeah, that weather sounds like what we are getting in Texas. We aren't going out tonight, too crowded. We are going to do it tomorrow night, and Galadrai can show off her new earrings. Did you know that Chili's started in Dallas? My Ex and I used to eat at #1, over on Greenville Avenue, all of the time, as we lived just around the corner.

Aargh, not again! It seems I am the confused one now. ;) Ah well, time to cut and paste. ;)

The wonders of medicine. ;) It still amazes me how resilient children are. Running a high fever in the morning, running about in the evening (sometimes with a little help though). I wish I was like that. Saw your reply in Gnarf´s thread. *snicker* I agree, it was too easy.

NiceWorg, no alcoholic beverages in the cafe. Some people in here can´t hold their liquor. ;) Let´s see who retorts to that. LOL! :D

Yeah, I noticed that especially on pediatric surgery. You could repair a hernia, and they would be climbing the walls by evening. Pain, what pain? On the other hand, when they are sick, they are sick. We had a little girl, 8, with leukemia, die from a perirectal abscess. :(

Kaltia 02-14-2003 05:58 PM

...Never get a doctor involved in kiddy discussions again.....

Lady Blue03 02-14-2003 05:59 PM

Hello there Bill
I have to vouch for Chilis chicken ceasar salad...I've never tasted better salad...it's just sooo good! OO you got Galaria some earrings? How sweet :D Tell her I say hi

runs into the cafe, slips and slams into the jukebox again... howdy all

Attalus 02-14-2003 06:12 PM

Yes, Jen, I got her some ruby and diamond ones that I found on the Net. They look really good on her, but then, what doesn't? I shall tell her you said hi. Sorry, Kat, but pediatric surgery is hours of stupefying boredom interspersed with moments of stark terror. :(
