Avoid the 1.53 patch, if you're not doing so already. I dl'd it last night, and I've had nothing but problems since. I've managed to be able and log into servers, but when I open some containers, not all of them either, just some, I crash to the desk top. I have just completed a critical rebuild back to 1.66, and I'm going to re-redownload all the associated hak files I had. I was having no problems until I downloaded the 1.53 patch though.

Which of course means those links I posted should be considered null and void until further notice, right?

I think so. My CEP got corrupted when I installed that patch this morning. While I have managed to get where I can log into servers, I am still having random crashes. I have just finished uninstalling the whole shebang again, and reinstalling NWN's. On my way to get the .hak files now, before I update.

Ok, I managed to log in and play a bit before I went to bed last night. Except for one crash in EfU that could part of the normal clientside random crashes when too much stuff gets to going on. I could open the containers that crashed me before the reinstall, and I could enter the area that crashed me with the same char on another server. The only difference, no 1.53 patch to CEP. Don't know how it corrupted my CEP, but that has to be the problem.

I had a few issues with the cep patch too.

One thing, is it is extreemly fragmenting, so run your defrag.

after I ran the defrag, everything worked fine.
