Just came across this once again and thought I post it because it's one of my favourite historical anecdotes.
On a formal dinner Winston Churchill met a lady who apparently was a convinced opponent of him and his policies. She told him: "If you were my husband, I would poison your tea." Churchill looked at her and replied: "If you were my wife, I would drink it. |
