I just want to know what other people think.
Is it more fun to play baldur's gate 2 with a NPC's or by yourself?
I actually can't decide because I like the NPC interactions but playing solo is so much faster.

With the party interaction and NPC side quests, no doubt it will be more eventful if you play as a party. If you play solo, you will miss lots of quests, but then again, if you are under time constraint and cannot spare too much time on BG2 while wanting to see the story, then solo is the way. If this is the first game you ever play, I suggest you go with a party of at least 4, otherwise you can try solo (just to try out different tactics).

I had the same, started out with the intention of going with just two characters,,a fighter/mage/thief and Ranger dualed to cleric, and employing NPCs just for their quests, but now in chapter 4 i have a full crew and i don't really know why?,it just happened.I guess i just begin to feel loyalty to them and if i DO get rid of someone i always pack them off with a good weapon, armour, and whatever i think they might like.
For instance ,this time i released Keldorn from my services with the Holy avenger,Helm of charm protection, light crossbow+2,and worn out boots.
I think it's good with a small group though,so your average fightout becomes more of i minor battle which is mutch more entertaining.
