I just finished BGII and loved the game, I am new to computers and Would like to know how to get into an online game? Can I import my character or do I have to generate a new one? And how do I do either? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you can import. You should use Gamespy Arcade, which you can either download or get off the BG2 CD. It helps you find games really easily. If you REALLY want to play multiplayer however, there are lots of people on the board in clans or guilds and who are looking for people to join their games or have open slots. Try asking around in the General Discussions forum, and introduce yourself while you're at it.
