I'm playing HotU in multiplayer, something that it clearly isnt meant for (cutscenes only play for one of the players, and henchmen behave oddly). After freeing Halaster we were sent to C2 with Deekin, but he doesnt seem to be anywhere to be found, neither inside the temple or in the city. Have we missed him or have we encountered a bug due to us playing MP? Is there any way (read cheat) to bring him back if the latter is the case?

And why didnt bioware even bother to test the modules for MP, it seems like such a small effort on their part...

Bioware did a poll, and figured that since a lot of the downloaded content from the vault was SP mods, they'd release Hordes as a SP mod. They got a lot of flack about that after the fact, but after the fact was way too late to do any good. As for getting Deekin into the campaign, you may have to replay a save right before Halaster sends you, in SP, and then restart the MP game from Chapter 2, with the save with Deekin there. I'm not sure that will work, but it's worth a shot.

Thanks, freeing Halaster in SP did the trick.

Cool, wasn't sure, but glad it did work out.

That approach solved all the buggy situations. We've finished the expansion now and even given your explanation it's really surprising that Bioware didnt bother to fix the glitches, as they arent that many:) All of the chapter transitions are bugged, but thats pretty much it. That cutscenes only plays on one machine and golems (who didnt help at the end of chapter 2:() dont realize that the second player is friendly are minor inconveniences that can be handled, but one player getting stuck outside the evil fortress and the endgame movie + dialogue being all messed up or getting stuck are bigger problems.

The big reason that the expansion sold for MP was epic char lvls. Prior to Hordes, you were limited to a max char level of 20. That, and a couple of new Prestige Classes made the expansion popular amongst the online playing community. They fully intended Hordes to be a single player campaign.
