I released all 4 animals from to zoo and sent them through the tree. I went to the Druid by the tree in town, but he talks like I'm not done and the quest is still under the not dones. Did I miss a step?

I reloaded and did it a slightly different way. this time it worked so you can stick a fork in this post. I do find that things like this should happen. I sent them all through so the quest should be considered done.

Rescuing the animals:

1. Go out the back door and set up the portal at the tree.

2. Go inside, open the cages, and tell the animals to get going.

3. Return to the tree, and tell the animals to step through the portal.

This has always worked for me.

Like I said, I did work, but itshould also have worked the way I did it because the end result was the same. I shouldn't have to read a walkthrough when the final goal was achieved anyway.

For me this quest worked in a slightly different order too:

1. Open the cages and tell the animals they´re free and should leave. The animals tell you you have to set up their *escape route* and return to the cages then.

2. Go out the back door and set up the portal.

3. Return to the cages and again urge them to leave. Now they leave for the portal.

4. Go out the back door a 2nd time and send all the animals through the portal.

5. Return to the druid in town and collect your reward.

This was the order I did last time and everything worked fine for me (game was patched to v1.66).

Ah, I read too quickly and thought you were still having problems with that. Some players send the animals out but don't go to the portal and actually send them through.

Banzai, that sounds like extra work to me. But if you're happy with it, go ahead ;)
