Where can I find this axe? I know it's a random drop, but where can it be dropped? TIA

I honestly don't know. I've never gotten it - I've also heard a rumour that a party had to satisfy some conditions in order to get it.

I remember Marty4 talking about it on this forum. Maybe send him a PM.

I'll dig around and see if I can find the location online, but it's been about a year and a half since I last played IWD2, and I've lost all of my saved data, so I have no idea where it dropped (I think Severed Hand somewhere, but that place is big).

I also dug up my old "Pally Party!" thread to see where I got it, and apparently I never found it myself. I wound up cheating it in, "paying" a million gold for it, after beating the game on normal mode.

Not that I'm aware of. The conditions I referred to were dialogue choices, or some such thing. It's just something I remember (imperfectly) from a long ago discussion, maybe not even on this board.

I have no idea whether there actually are conditional "random" weapon drops.

It's so darn powerful, I'd imagine it could only be dropped in HoF mode.

My only guess is that maybe somebody drops it in the Severed Hand. My guess would be Iyachtu Xvim, who dropped an incredible axe in normal mode for me (Greataxe of Cleaving +5, with +2d6 slashing damage). I was very, very happy with this one!!! :D
