Okay, I waved my "Serpent Wand" in front of the stone face where I know Magga the Vampiress I'm supposed to kill is, but the door didn't open. Any suggestion there? Secondly, I killed Magga ANYWAY, because she got so close to the door while I was trying to get it open, her cape our something kept appearing on MY side of the door, so every time it did, I whacked it until I killed her. Does she have anything on her I need or is there anything in her room that I need? If not, I'm not even going to bother with it. Thanks much in advance.

I believe you need to USE the staff on the stone face to open the door. There are some more vamps and some treasure in the room - worth checking out. I killed Magga through the door as well. That was fun!

The Serpent Wand is the little thing you get from the serpent temple to give to the gypsy lady (Harespia?) for the Orb of Clarity. The 'Serpent Staff' (aka 'Staff of Death') is the big thing you get from the lich when Cet snatches him. It is the staff which you need to open the door to Maba Magig (sp).
