lately I been interested in chess, and been looking for some great site where I can play against random people for free.
I've been playing on instantchess.com until i found out I only had a limited number of games before I had to pay to continue. So, my question is if anyone know a great site to play some chess? or is all good site pay-sites? With limited economic I can't afford paying for a chess-site. :/ Even if I want too... bye for now! |
http://www.kurnik.org/ Great site and no download necessary. Based in Poland so many Polish people (site in English though).
You could also try Yahoogames. |
Great! Will test kurnik.org! Thank you!
Still open for other suggestions! |
www.gameknot.com is a great site. I've just recently joined, and it's a lot of fun and very active!!
|
Both MSN, and Yahoo! games are free to play. I hit Yahoo every once in a while, if I feel like a game.

I play at http://www.redhotpawn.com/

Although Yahoo is great for a lot of games ranging from Chess to Go and Scrabble (literati) one thing they do lack is chinese chess which is my personal favorite, and therefor yahoo sucks and should be avoided

Okay! Let's face it! I suck at chess! So... another stupid question, any good online chess site for tips and Trix? It's really embarrassing to say this but... um yeah! :|
Chess is very addictive and fun and I want to be able to take an hour or two every day to relax and play but with this sort of play I play, it's not relaxing! It's frustrating! Ha ha! At least it's fun anyway and that is the most important! ) |
Well, I'll tell you, the only way I learned was to take whippin' after whippin'. My dad beat me up for about 2 years, from the time I was 8, until I finally got him, after that, it kind of snowballed, until he wouldn't play me anymore. I guess I had more patience for losing than he did. We have a "Battle Chess" type thing on one of the NWN's servers I play on, and I'm the reigning champ there.

You can only learn through experience. I spent years getting repeatedly beaten at chess by my father, and now, MUAHAHAHA, he cannot stand against me. :D
So practice, practice, practice. |
